My name is Frances Hoggard, I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from Raleigh, NC. I am majoring in Media and Journalism with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations, and minoring in English.
I’m not certain about a lot of things, but I know I am a storyteller. My youth was spent writing imaginative tales, improvising ghost stories at sleepovers, and detailing elaborative narratives that kept my friends on the edge of their seats. I have always had the desire to captivate audiences and to do it well. I’ve never been able to settle for mediocracy (which, at times, has been a fatal flaw).
I have an acuity for both creative and strategic thinking. A career in advertising offers a marriage of the two. I am interested in pursuing strategy, copywriting, creative direction and account management. My experience as a marketing intern for THATMuse, bolstered by writing skills gained from my English minor and working for various publications, has prepared me for such roles.

In addition to being an advertising creative, I am an Alfred Hitchcock aficionado, a novice chef, an extroverted introvert and an art fanatic. When I’m not working or in school, I can be found perusing through Twitter, doodling on whatever notebook is nearest, or taking afternoon naps.
